This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand what information the Developer collects and processes, why it does so, and how you may access your information.

Use of Collected Information

All information collected by the Developer is used solely to improve the Software and related services. The Developer never sells this data or provides it to third parties for their use except where required by law.

Location Information

Because the Developer provides location-based services and you use those services, the Developer may collect and process your location data to provide services based on your location. The Developer may not access your GPS location without your consent.

Data Collection to Improve the Camera Database

The Software uses GPS location data to determine the user’s current position and provide alerts when approaching cameras and hazardous road sections.

To improve the accuracy and timeliness of the camera database and the quality of the Software, the following information may be sent to the Developer’s server:

• Camera pass statistics: anonymous data indicating that a vehicle passed through the coverage area of a particular camera (including the camera’s GPS coordinates, the date and time, direction of travel, and speed). This information is used to analyze whether a camera remains current; for example, statistics will stop arriving if a camera has been removed.

• New points (cameras) submitted by users: if a User voluntarily uses the Software to report a new camera or an error in existing data, the selected object type, GPS coordinates, and submission date and time are sent to the server. This information is transmitted only when initiated by the User.

All information described above is transmitted in anonymized form and cannot identify a specific User or vehicle. It is stored on the Developer’s server and used solely for analysis, map-data updates, and improvements to the Software.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Software may use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Software may use cookies for purposes such as avoiding the need to re-enter access information or processing statistical information. You can change your browser settings to disable cookie storage or enable warnings when cookies are sent.

EU GDPR Compliance

The GDPR is a European Union regulation protecting the privacy of individuals. As a Software user, you have certain rights related to the use of your “personal information.”

These rights include:

• Right to information: you have the right to know how your personal data is processed.

• Right of access: you have the right to access your data and request a copy of the data collected.

• Right to rectification: you have the right to correct and update your personal data if the data currently in use is inaccurate.

• Right to erasure: you have the right to erase collected personal data.

• Right to restriction: you have the right to prevent a company from using certain categories of personal data.

• Right to data portability: you have the right to access your personal data and transfer it to other organizations.

• Right to object: you have the right to withdraw consent to personal-data processing carried out in the public interest or for marketing or research purposes.

• Right to object to automated decision-making: you have the right to object to the processing of your data by automated systems.

External Device Pairing Diagnostics

Under the consent previously provided by the user, and only after a successful new pairing, the Software may send a pseudonymous app-installation identifier, the external-device type and name, the connection method, a device identifier, and the approximate pairing area. Exact coordinates are not saved or sent: location is converted on the device to a coarse geohash. On the Developer’s server, identifiers are used in two forms: HMAC hashes are stored for grouping, while full identifiers are stored encrypted. Full values are available only to an authenticated administrator. If internet access is unavailable, the event is stored locally and sent later. Date and time are generated solely by the server when it receives the event. Phone date and time, passwords, nearby Wi-Fi networks, and app or firmware versions are not sent. The data is used only for compatibility and connection-quality analytics, is not used for advertising, and is neither sold nor shared except where required by law.
